Batarangs are a gadget employed by Batman as well as his signature weapon. They can be used to stun enemies or hit objects that are out of reach. Batman could unleash up to three Batarangs quickly in the middle of combat in order to knock down enemies without breaking his combo. Quickly throwing Batarangs is also very effective when discovered by a single armed enemy, as it will stun them temporarily in order to provide enough time to escape.[1][2][3]

- The sound effect of a Batarang flying through the air was changed for Batman: Arkham City.
- During Rā's al Ghūl's boss battle, he will regularly throw shuriken at Batman. The sound they make as they fly through the air is the same as Batarangs in Arkham Asylum.
- In Arkham Origins, Batarangs feature a darker color around the center.
